Open Mic Competition:

Robinette & Sheba never pass up an opportunity to sing.  You probably saw them singing in competition at the Quonset Club, with other contestants, performing live, their choice of R&B tunes...for the "grand prize" of a bottle of champagne being offered every night....and ultimately, winning a good number of them.  'We thought of the bottles as trophies'.  Today, the pair occasionally perform at Karaoke venues such as Rio Grand Buffet, S&J's, Manhatter's and Sullivan's to name a few when they get the urge to sing and when they aren't performing with Blues Rush Band.

Class Twins Competition - John F. Kennedy (JFK) High School, Richmond Virginia:

In 1975, Robinette and twin sister Robin competed for twin popularity.  They both won "Class Twins" by popular student vote.

Homecoming Queen Competition - John F. Kennedy (JFK) High School, Richmond Virginia:

In 1974, Robinette won the title of "Miss. JFK Homecoming Queen" by popular student vote. Her clothe designing skills were exemplified by modeling a sparkling silver pant suit, accented by matching hat and shoes she designed. Robinette would like to say she knew she would win because she had a premonition about the entire event. Many great vocalists competed, however Robinette won the competition with her dazzling outfit since she was too shy to sing at that time.

Miss. Junior Competition - John F. Kennedy (JFK) High School, Richmond Virginia:

In 1973, Robinette won the title of "Miss. Junior" by popular student vote. There was no competition required to compete for this recognized title.
